Just hanging out at home...

Things are starting to bloom around here...

Plumeria tree...smells really good!

Our two crazy kids!

Nacho plate! I know this sounds weird, but this is the first time we found corn tortilla chips. So of course we had to have a nacho plate...really yummy! Terry bought 3 bags...you become a hoarder in Saudi! You just never know if or when you will find something.

Ayla writing her numbers in Arabic! She is really enjoying learning all of this...terry and I struggle with counting to 5! Ha!

A little marble works action!

Ayla helping me make anchor charts for school. She is so artsy...I don't mind! She makes them look really cute!

Here is Miles with the flu! He had been battling this for about 5 days. High fever, then wet cough and the latest was an ear infection. He had a rough nights sleep...he seems to be getting better. I stayed home with him today...poor guy!

Been awhile!

Ok...I have not been updating this and I had time. What is wrong with me?

Let's see...during our week off we went to the Rashyd (not sure I spelled that right) Mall with some friends!

Cheza is on the left...she Is super knowledgeable about reading! Teaching friends...she studied under Lucy Caulkins. Which is why we are going to start doing that this year! Yes!
Ameerah is on the right. She teaches grade one with me. Super fun and keeps on track with IPS stuff!
Both of these lovely ladies have kids Miles age!

Miles with Yara!

All the kids (minus Ayla) on the train!

Rosie on the Merry-go-round

Weeeeee!!! Doesn't Ayla look impressed...she is getting too big for some of these rides! Sad!

All the kids had the best time on these bumper cars! So many giggles! Hilarious to watch!

We are now fine to stay in Saudi Arabia...there is a Justice! She was pumped!!

Our day...

It is so beautiful in the morning now that we enjoy our coffee outside! Such a great way to wake up! Ayla says it's cold...it's a cool 64!

Fleece pants and Junie B Jones;)

Kids and I went to Jarir Bookstore! Miles teacher, Ms. Ann was waiting for the bus too! So Miles sat with her on the way there and the way back! So cute!

Some Random pictures...

Here we are waiting for Eurovillage Bus!

Best buddies!

Little Apples Bees action!

In between the two little palm trees is the light house! Looks small here but it is actually pretty big! Ocean is just right over there. We have yet to go play in the water but I am sure we will soon!

9 days off and stuck in Saudi!

We have yet to get our exit visas, so we still can't leave the country. Isn't that crazy? Yes, we were hoping to go somewhere. Oh well, guess we will just chill in the Eurovillage and hang with some friends!

Here are some pics from tonight...the start of our 9 day vacation! Yes!

I think his face says it all...such a bummer!

We were hanging outside and this was the temp..I had the chills and Ayla said she was cold! Weak...I know! I think we are officially acclimated! The weather is beautiful out right now! Not a bad gig!

Not a bad morning!

Mr. Doodles hanging outside with us!

This is what I wake up to in the am. Miles comes in our bed almost every night. We have a king size bed so we hardly know he is there...minus a few kicks here and there! Ha!

Rosie has her place value down!

Some more swimming shots

We just can't get enough of the pool here! Ayla swam across the pool for the first time and Miles isn't far behind her.

Love this one!!!

The weather is becoming beautiful!! Yes!

Up to no good! ;)

Terry's bday

Terry turned the big 37! Our neighbors and also coworkers had us over for dinner. They ordered Chinese food and also made Terry a yummy cake. So very thoughtful! They are both from Canada. Katie and Brian, thanks for a fun night!

Some classroom shots

Here are a few pictures from Terry and I's room:

Our kids buddy reading!

Ok...so this is a birthday cake that a little girl brought in. So cute! Little different than the birthday treats I remember at Gage! Anyone remember the cupcake with the Santa candy on it? Wow!
